The Eucharist is of such importance in our lives as a faithful people that the Second Vatican Council states that the Eucharist is "the source and summit of the Christian life." The preparation for this sacrament begins in January and culminates with parish wide celebrations in May at each worship site.

The sacramental preparation involves home and parish sessions. Some chapters are covered in classes with catechists and some are covered at home with parents. The children are instructed by catechists, while the parents meet with the Formation Director. Sacraments are the heart of our faith journey and preparation is most important. Youth need to have prepared for First Reconcilation prior to preparing for First Eucharist.
