This is a wonderful ministry in which individuals have responsibility for coordinating the immediate preparation for a weekend liturgy. They come at least a half hour before Mass and prepare the worship space for the gathering and prayer of the faithful.  The duties of this ministry may include:

Before Mass begins they make sure all scheduled liturgical ministers are present and if not they find others to take their place. They also help with hospitality by ushering and greeting.

During Mass, they provide assistance during the presentation of the gifts and the collection. Often they are also Ministers of Communion.

At the end of Mass they help to make sure the church is ready for the next Mass or is secured and prepared for closing.
